Our Philosophy
We believe that in order for us to create inclusive communities for individuals with developmental disabilities, we all have a part to play. Just by being on this page and choosing to increase your knowledge, whether it's in your place of work, at school, or as a parent, you are part of the shift towards a more equitable future.
We wanted to create a space where people can come to access education and resources within their community and connect with others. Part of increasing awareness about inclusive culture for individuals with developmental disabilities is building lasting connections and providing individualized supports. This is that community and we welcome you!
Edmonton already offers a range of resources that provide support and educational opportunities to increase awareness about individuals with developmental disabilities. However, they are sometimes difficult to find or unknown. It was important to cultivate a space where individuals can discover these resources, educate themselves, and connect, all in one place. Whether you are a care worker, family member or friend, or an advocate for those in your community, this space can help you to find what you are looking for and beyond.
